Power of attorney written by the grantors of the power of attorney themselves

 

How:

 

Presencial ConsuladoAppointment (In-person at the Consulate)

 

Required documents:

  • Power of attorney already drafted
    • The draft should begin with the first grantor's name;
  • Identification card(s) of the grantor(s);
  • 1 (one) Passport-type photo (for our files) - small size but exact measurements unimportant;
  • Payment with cash or check (credit or debit cards not accepted) - see below.

 

NOTE:

  • IMPORTANT: The Consulate does not verify or correct the document and refuses any responsibility regarding the contents of the power of attorney, only authenticating the document for use in Portugal.

 

Fee:

  • If only one (1) grantor: $31.97
    • Per additional grantor, $10.66
